Abdennour Zahzah

is an Algerian screenwriter, filmmaker and producer. After studying at Algiers University, he worked as a programmer at the Cinémathèque de Blida between 1997 and 2004. He made his first film, Frantz Fanon, Mémoire d'Asile, in 2002. Then he travelled to France, where he made two documentary films, and spent a long time at the Moulin d'Andé in Normandy, where he made a film with the writer Maurice Pons. Returning to Algeria in 2007, he made several commissioned documentaries. But it was his short fiction film Garagouz, which won several awards, that made him famous. After a feature-length documentary, L'Oued, L'Oued, which won critical acclaim at festivals, he made his first feature-length fiction film in 2024, about the Blida-Joinville years of Dr Frantz Fanon.

Kmar Bendana

is a professor of contemporary history at the University of La Manouba (Tunisia). Her work and teaching focus on the history of knowledge and culture in contemporary Tunisia, including institutions such as the university, publishing life and the world of cinema.
