The "Publishing youth Books" training provides the skills needed to develop youth books.

Participants will learn to identify the specifics of youth literature and its readers, as well as how to find authors and illustrators to develop projects that match the imagination of youth readers.

This module offers publishers an opportunity to engage with professionals working in youth literature.

Mélanie Decourt

Mélanie Decourt has been a major figure in children's publishing for over twenty years. Currently Fiction Sector Director at Nathan Univers Jeunesse, since 2019 she has overseen the publication of various works for young readers, with 120 new releases annually. From 2015 to 2019, she was Editorial Director at Nathan, enriching the catalog with 70 new releases a year. She also co-founded and directed Éditions Talents Hauts from 2005 to 2015, developing a catalog of 200 titles. Her career also includes positions at Éditions Belin and Nathan in editorial coordination. With a degree in economic history from Université Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne, she embodies passion and expertise in her field.
