Together, these works explore the intersections of photography, fiction, history, and cultural politics in the Middle East. .

This masterclass is open to artists, writers, photographers, researchers, dancers, and anyone interested in conceptual practices, archives, and Middle East cultural politics.

Walid Raad

is a contemporary media artist and professor known for his groundbreaking work on archives, memory, and the politics of representation. His long-term projects—The Atlas Group (1989–2004), Scratching on Things I Could Disavow, and Sweet Talk: Beirut (Commissions)—have been exhibited internationally and continue to shape critical conversations on the intersections of fact, fiction, and history in contemporary art.
