Training in PODCASTING

This immersive training course guides you through the creation of podcasts, providing you with the key skills to turn your ideas into reality. Accompanied by experts, you will learn how to define the vision of your podcast, identify your audience and master narration, interviewing and script development. You will be trained in the use of recording and editing tools, while exploring ways of monetising your podcast. At the end of the training, each participant will produce a pilot episode, the first concrete step in their project. The course is aimed at project leaders working in the literary world.

Objectives :

  • Acquire the fundamentals of podcast creation.
  • Develop skills in narration, interviewing and scriptwriting.
  • Use the technical tools for audio and video production and post-production.
  • Develop a podcast identity and distribution strategy.
  • Devising a strategy for promoting and monetising your literary podcast.
  • Produce a finished pilot episode, with professional support.

Training schedule : 

Session 1: Immersion in the world of podcasts

  • Learning about the format and listening together 
  • Preparing the idea for the podcast 
  • Theory and practice : what questions should you ask yourself before getting started? (Group brainstorming)  
  • Questions and answers

Session 2 : Thinking about your podcast

  • How do you choose the subject of your podcast? Its style? Its title? Its duration?  
  • How do you do your research ? 
  • Practical : Thinking through your podcast (sequences, sounds, writing, etc.) 
  • The art of storytelling 

Session 3: Writing the work plan/conductor (Practical)

  • Prepare your podcast planner
  • Write the sequences of the podcast you are thinking about 
  • Writing intros/outros

Session 4: Technical training  : audio podcast production

  • What equipment for what type of podcast  ? The basics of sound recording
  • Practical : Testing technical equipment and learning the basics of production
     

Session 5 : Technical training : audio podcast - post-production

  • Theory and practice : editing and mixing

Session 6: Voice workshop

  • Managing stress/controlling tone/managing a group discussion
  • Pratical : voice exercise

Session 7 : Technical training : podcast video-production

  • What equipment do I need to film ? The basics of filming
  • Pratical : Testing technical equipment and learning the basics of production

Session 8 : Technical training : podcast video-post-production

  • Theory and practice : video editing

Session 9 : Simulated recording (interview or other)Practice

Session 10 : Visuals, episode 0 and broadcast _ Practice

  • Cover and graphic identity (Canva tool)
  • Putting episodes 0 of each podcast online and broadcast (or planning)

Session 11: Communication and monetisation

  • The different business models 

Session 12-13-14-15-16 : One-to-one support as required (face-to-face or virtual)

Duration : 16 sessions over 2 months (11/06/2025 to 08/08/2025).

Target Audience :

This course is intended for professionals working in the book industry who already have experience of creating literary content (video, written or digital) and who want to turn an idea for a podcast project into a reality. It is aimed at those who want to take action, structure their approach and benefit from expert support to launch a podcast in line with their world, their vision or their community.

Number of participants : 10 participants maximum.

Entry requirements :

You must submit a video (maximum 3 minutes). In it, you are invited to briefly present your project idea.

 

 

Speakers / Trainers


Raouia Kheder : is a podcast producer, RTCI radio host and journalist. Founder of the Tunisia Podcast Festival and director of the Tunisia Podcasts platform, she has been working for years to promote the Tunisian voice through original audio formats. She is the creator of the podcast Khedma Ndhifa, which highlights inspiring career paths in Tunisia. A trainer and coach in podcasting, media training and communication, she regularly works with young people, journalists and institutions.

Oussama Ben Salah : A video production specialist with a passion for visual and audio storytelling, he is a director and sound designer. He works with artists, institutions and entrepreneurs to create original formats combining video, podcasts and immersive experiences. He applies his expertise to projects with a strong cultural and social impact. He has worked on a range of cultural, social and entrepreneurial projects, including podcasts (‘Impact Talks’, ‘Women in Tech’), documentaries (‘Maghroumin’, ‘Shawarie’) and festivals (‘Tagwina’). He will be working alongside Raouia Kheder on the technical side of podcasting training.
