The Sound Mastery for the Performing Arts course focuses on the specialist techniques of capturing, processing and broadcasting sound specific to theatre, dance and other live artistic performances. Participants will be introduced to the use of professional equipment to record and optimise live sound, while exploring spatialisation and the latest audio technologies.

The Centre de Formation Professionnelle aux Techniques du Spectacle - Professional Training Center for Performing Arts Techniques- (CFPTS) is an establishment renowned for its expertise and excellence in training for technical professions in the performing arts and events sector. Founded in 1972, the CFPTS offers a wide range of specialised training courses in areas such as sound, lighting, machinery, stage management and stage techniques. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and run by experienced instructors, the CFPTS prepares tomorrow's professionals by providing them with the skills and knowledge they need to excel in the industry.

Eligibility criteria
- Experienced sound professionals, technicians, sound designers, sound engineers and sound technicians
- Resident in Tunisia.
- Available full-time for the duration of the course.
- Motivated and committed to the objectives of the course.
Duration of the training programme
The programme comprises 3 cycles of 5 days per cycle, distributed as follows:
- Cycle 1 : 5 days in mid-September 2024
- Cycle 2 : 5 days in early December 2024
- Cycle 3 : 5 days in February 2025
Application procedure and payment of training costs
If the eligibility criteria are met, candidates are encouraged to submit their application by completing the form on the link below.
A training grant will be awarded to participants.
For those coming from the Tunisian regions, accommodation will also be provided.
Transport costs will be reimbursed for participants coming from the Tunisian region, on presentation of the necessary documents.
Selection Process :
The candidate selection will proceed in two stages:
- First stage: All applications received will be pre-selected on the basis of the candidate's file.
- Second stage: Candidates selected in the first stage will be invited to an online interview with a selection committee.

Speakers / Trainers
Mohamed Hédi Belkhir
is a Tunisian sound engineer and technical director. A graduate of the Institut Supérieur d'Art Dramatique in Tunis, his career has been marked by numerous training courses and internships, notably in France, the United Kingdom and Egypt. These experiences have enabled him to perfect his technical skills in sound, lighting, set design and video. A versatile professional, he has held positions as technical director for several international festivals, including the Dream City Festival, the Hammamet International Festival and the Gabès Cinéma Fen. Since 2015, he has also been technical director of the Théâtre El Hamra under the direction of Cyrine Gannoun.
