Contemporary dance workshops - FPC 2025

On the occasion of the Festival des Premières Chorégraphiques 2025 and as part of the Massari programme, Al Badil is offering four contemporary dance workshops open to all. Each workshop will be led by choreographers who will present their own piece during the festival. Over these four days, participants will discover the universe of these artists. You can register for one or more workshops.

Objectives : 

  • Discover different artistic universes and associated techniques.
  • To learn or improve in contemporary dance.

Training Schedule: 

Participants must specify which workshop(s) they wish to attend.

  • Thursday 30 January with Romane Piffault 
  • Friday 31 January with La Otra Orilla (Canada)
  • Saturday 1 February with Linga (Switzerland)
  • Sunday 2 February with Kif Dance (France - Tunisia)

The workshops will run from 10am to 1pm.

Please note that participants must attend the workshops they register for.

Target audience :  open to all ( subject to availability).

Number of participants : between 20 and 25 per workshop.

Speakers / Trainers


Romane Piffaut

Romane Piffaut is a choreographer and performer living between France and Morocco. Founder of the QUAI6 company in Lyon and the TURBA collective in Tangiers, she pays particular attention to mixing artistic practices, multiplying collaborations and forms of creation.

The company La Otra Orilla (Canada)

A Montreal creative company founded by the Quebec choreographer and dancer Myriam Allard and the Franco-Tunisian director and singer Hedi Graja. The company draws on the roots of flamenco to create hybrid performances, reinterpreting and transforming it through the prism of multiple cultural and artistic influences.

The Linga Company (Switzerland)

In 1992, Katarzyna Gdaniec and Marco Cantalupo realised their desire for independence and creativity by founding the Linga Company (a symbol of fertility in the Hindu religion) of contemporary dance.

The Kif Dance company (France - Tunisia)

Contemporary dance company created in 2022 by two Tunisian performers and young choreographers based in France: Meriem Bouajaja and Mohamed Chniti. Its aim is to contribute to choreographic research and creation in relation to other artistic disciplines.
