Training Objective

This training is designed for professionals in the cultural sector. Through hands-on activities, it helps them discover and explore how games can be used as educational, social, and cultural tools. The goal is to strengthen participants’ understanding of games and show them how to include playful approaches in their everyday work.

Learning Objectives :

  • Understand the link between play and learning
  • Identify the core values of play: freedom, openness, uncertainty, and imagination
  • Recognize different types of games: free play, educational games, structured games
  • Build knowledge of various games (traditional games, games from around the world, designer games)
  • Learn how to explain game rules clearly
  • Get familiar with game-making and related safety or legal guidelines
  • Experience the joy of playing as an adult in order to better share it with others
  • Identify the right approach and attitude for leading play activities
  • Create group dynamics through play
  • Gain tools to adapt and lead games for different audiences
  • Explore the richness of today’s game design and production

5-day in-person training module

Includes workshops and hands-on sessions with different audiences

  • Live in Tunisia
  • Be fully available for the entire duration of the training

Speakers / Trainers


Mala Leopold : Training manager in the Family and Early Childhood department at La Maison des Jeux. A specialist in using games as educational and social tools, she has been training and supporting various audiences for over 20 years.

Claude Carrara : Co-founder of La Maison des Jeux de Grenoble. Trainer and game project designer since 1991, he is well known for his expertise in popular education and cultural facilitation through games.
