Introduction to Copyright for the Cultural and Creative Sector (Performing Arts)

Over four days, Tunisian professionals in the performing arts and artists will have the opportunity to gain a deep understanding of copyright fundamentals and relevant legislation in Tunisia. The program will cover essential aspects of artistic work protection, moral and economic rights, and rights management mechanisms. Training content will be tailored to the beneficiaries' profiles and needs.

Objectives :
To discover the basics of copyright and artist rights in Tunisia.
Training Overview :
Participants will explore the legal framework of the artist profession in Tunisia and internationally, along with an introduction to intellectual property and copyright. Sessions will be interactive, with content adapted to the beneficiaries' professions and specialties. A professional speaker from OTDAV will provide concrete insights into protecting artistic and literary works in Tunisia.

Aida Caid Essebsi
Aida Caid Essebsi, holding an Aggregation in Private Law and serving as an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Legal, Political, and Social Sciences in Tunis, was awarded the President of the Republic Prize for her mastery in legal sciences. In 2023, she assumed the role of overseeing the new Master's program in 'Business Law and Intellectual Property' at the Faculty of Legal, Political, and Social Sciences in Tunis.
