Una Gunjak

Una Gunjak was born and raised in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina. She studied in Italy and the United Kingdom, where she obtained a Master's degree in editing at the National Film and TV School (NFTS).
While continuing to work as an editor, Una is currently focusing on writing and directing. In 2014, her short film THE CHICKEN premiered at Cannes Critics' Week before screening at over 300 festivals, including Sundance. In 2015, Una's feature film project, Alfa, was invited to the Cinefondation Workshop and the FeatureLab at the Torino Film Lab, where it won the Production Award.
His second short film, SALAMAT FROM GERMANY, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival's Directors' Fortnight in 2017. EXCURSION marks her debut as a feature film director and opened the Concorso Cineasti del presente on 4 August 2023.

Mohamed Ben Attia

Mohamed Ben Attia was born in Tunis on 5 January 1976. He studied audiovisual communication at the University of Valenciennes in France after obtaining his master's degree from the Institut de Hautes Etudes Commerciales (IHEC) in Tunis in 1998. He has made five short films, ‘ROMANTISME, DEUX COMPRIMES, MATIN ET SOIR’ (2004), COMME LES AUTRES (Etalon d'argent de Yennenga at the FESPACO 2006), MOUJA (2008), LOI 76 (2011) and SELMA (2014) in official competition at the Clermont Ferrand festival.
His first feature film ‘HEDI, UN VENT DE LIBERTE’ won two awards at the 2016 Berlinale: Best First Film and Silver Bear for Best Actor.
His second feature film WELDI (My Dear Child) was selected for the Directors' Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival in 2018.
In 2023, he presented his third film Behind the mountains at the Venice Film Festival, in the Orizzonti section.
