Alain Mabanckou

Born in 1966 in Congo, Alain Mabanckou is the author of several novels, including “Memoirs of a Porcupine” (Seuil, 2006) "Mémoire de porc-épic", for which he received the Renaudot Prize. He splits his time between the United States, where he teaches Francophone literature at UCLA, and France. His work has been translated into about twenty languages.
