A look back at Al Badil’s cultural ideation training and a preview of future sessions

Al Badil, a key player in the cultural field and partner of the Massari project, has just successfully completed a training session in cultural project ideation. This first stage, which took place in Sousse and Gabès, paved the way for a series of equally enriching training courses to come. Let’s explore the experience and impact of these initiatives.

The “Ideation de projets culturels” training course aims to equip cultural professionals engaged in the development of their projects, as well as members of emerging structures. Designed to refine and concretize innovative ideas, it focuses on strengthening cultural project management skills, offering a space conducive to the exchange of experience and mutual enrichment.

The first session, held from May 3 to 5, 2024 at the “We Love Sousse” association, was a privileged moment of learning. Founded in 2011, this multidisciplinary youth association is committed to meeting the needs of populations affected by social, economic and cultural crises. The second session, from May 10 to 12, 2024, took place at Danseurs Citoyens Sud, an NGO contributing to the emergence of a dynamic cultural scene in difficult and marginalized areas, thus promoting the values of justice and equality among Tunisians.

Both sessions were led by artist, trainer and cultural management consultant Hedi Khelil. Fifteen hand-picked participants, selected on the basis of their portfolio and an interview, were given the opportunity to take part in these inaugural sessions. Their commitment and enthusiasm underlined the importance of such initiatives in energizing the cultural sector, and highlighted the crucial role of ideation in the design of cultural projects.

At the same time, Al Badil is proposing a diversified program of upcoming training courses as part of the Massari project, covering topics such as an introduction to copyright for the cultural and creative sector (live performance) from June 10 to 13, training on the production and management of cultural projects from June 24 to 28, and training on accompanying performance in contemporary dance. All these training courses are scheduled for 2024, with others planned for 2025.

These training opportunities are not limited to professional development; they are also levers for cultural change with a social impact. By strengthening the skills of cultural players, they help nurture a more dynamic and innovative ecosystem, promoting the creation and dissemination of art and culture throughout Tunisia.

Don’t miss this chance to get involved and enrich your professional career in the cultural field. Applications for upcoming training courses are still open. Join Al Badil and the Massari project in this exciting adventure, and together, let’s make culture the engine of change and inspiration.
