This workshop aims to involve professionals, researchers and public and private stakeholders in a collaborative project to raise awareness and enhance the value of heritage in Sfax (tangible and intangible). The goal is to develop practical, innovative approaches and strategies for rehabilitating, safeguarding, enhancing and conserving movable and immovable property and elements of intangible heritage, while taking account of the cultural, communicational and sustainable dimensions of Sfax's heritage.

This workshop will take the form of a research laboratory with a residency planned for the Festival des Premières Chorégraphiques.

On the occasion of the Festival des Premières Chorégraphiques 2025 and as part of the Massari programme, Al Badil is offering four contemporary dance workshops open to all. Each workshop will be led by choreographers who will present their own piece during the festival. Over these four days, participants will discover the universe of these artists. You can register for one or more workshops.

"NEIGHBORS" is a contemporary dance/theater proposal from the Spanish dance maker Libertad Pozo in collaboration with Al Badil. She invites movers, actors/actresses, performers to take part in this 3 days workshop and research together the different aspects of the concept NEIGHBOR. The choreographer opens this research and creative process to artists in Tunis who are willing to explore and bring their own interpretation and experience to the proposal. During the workshops she will work from : improvisation tasks, use of voice and text, movement material from the artist and creation of small solos. The last day we will bring all the material together and have an informal presentation.  

This program is designed to support and train dancers as they develop and execute artistic dance projects.

Participants will be guided to:

- Advanced refinement of their performance techniques through practical workshops, discussions on dance methodologies, and personalized guidance.

- Assistance in their professional projects, including the development of strategies to make artistic and choreographic works accessible to a diverse audience.

International mobility opportunities will be offered in the first quarter of 2025.

The practice we propose aims to open up imaginary and dreamlike spaces, both inside and outside ourselves. Through decentring, meditation, belief, trance and scientific knowledge, we link the fields of the physiological, the somatic, the symbolic, the fictional and the political. The body becomes a landscape, a creature, a discourse. The work focuses on sensation, perception, archetypal figures and the unconscious, both personal and collective.  

The course is designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge they need to create a business model for their project, draw up a budget and identify sources of funding. It is aimed at those with artistic and cultural projects who wish to define a financial framework for their project and discover the different specificities of this sector.
 

Beneficiaries from outside Tunis will have their accommodation and transport paid for.

The cultural project production training is designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to realize their cultural and artistic projects. Beneficiaries will be provided with both theoretical and practical skills to successfully navigate all stages of their project production.
Participants who are not originally from Tunis will have their accommodation and transportation covered.

Over four days, Tunisian professionals in the performing arts and artists will have the opportunity to gain a deep understanding of copyright fundamentals and relevant legislation in Tunisia. The program will cover essential aspects of artistic work protection, moral and economic rights, and rights management mechanisms. Training content will be tailored to the beneficiaries' profiles and needs.

The cultural project ideation training targets professionals in the cultural sector involved in the development of cultural or artistic projects. It also caters to individuals working within organizations in the process of developing a project. The aim is to assist participants in refining and realizing their ideas, thereby enhancing their skills in cultural project management. It provides a conducive environment for the exchange of experiences and mutual enrichment, thereby contributing to energizing the cultural sector.
